Sea terms and parts of a boat, Sail handling, Ropework, Fire precautions and fire fighting, Personal safety equipment, Man overboard, Emergency equipment, Manners and customs, Rules of the road, Dinghies, Meteorology, Helmsmanship and sailing, General duties.
Format:
5-Day Practical course; either 5 Consecutive days, or a split weekend course comprising, a 2-day part 1 weekend plus a 3-day Part 2 weekend.
Venue:
Residential on board a training yacht. Departure from Poole Quay Boat Haven
