A comprehensive introduction to the skills required to pilot and navigate a small boat in familiar waters.
Content:
Seamanship, Charts and Publications, Courses to Steer, Position fixing, Tidal heights and Streams, Buoys and Lights, GPS and Chart Plotters, Instruments, Log Books, Meteorology, IRPCS, Safety, Passage Planning.
Format:
5-Day Classroom Based. Either 5 consecutive days, or a 2-day weekend plus a 3-day weekend. Price £450 per person
10-Week, Weekly Evening Class. 19.00 to 22.00 Each Evening, Autumn and Winter terms. Price £325 per person. (£300 for local club members)
Virtual (Zoom) Classroom. 20 – 25 hours of contact time with our instructor, plus the same amount of homework time. Schedule and timescale to suit you. Price £400 pp.
